My list

I was driving home from an intense therapy sessions of Elizabeth and I thought "I wonder what my list would say if I wrote down all the reasons I thought God gave me her..." I guess it'd go something like this:

1. To teach me I'm not in control.

2. To teach me to trust God.

3. To show me unconditional love.

4. To let me see that everyone is different.

5. Learn to accept differences.

6. Teaching me that life is full of surprises.

7. To teach me how miraculous birth is.

8. To teach me to live life to the fullest.

9. To show me how to take joy in the smallest things.

10. To truelly know the joy of hearing your child speak.

11. To learn that delayed gratification is totally worth it.

12. Taught me the miracles of small babies.

13. To truelly love to see your child eat.

14. I've learned what it takes to actually chew your food and swallow.

15. To teach me healthy eatibg habits.

16. To teach me how to get ready in 30min. lol nah.. No but really..

17. She's taught me the true joy it will be to see your child walk.

18. She's taught me the joy of holding your child, no wires attached.

19. I have learned to love the medical advancements me have.

20.She's taught me a ton of medical terms.

21. She showed me a new side to her daddy.

22. She taught me what believing in Gods will really is.

23. I've learned to love a schedule. 

24. To stand up for a cause, to help the needy, or to see disabled people in a new light, to advocate for a cause.

Okay, so you get the point the list in endless. Everyday I feel blessed to have Elizabeth. Everyday I am reminded of the joy and the love she brings to everyone she meets. 

I'm so proud of all the new progress she's making and going to make. 

So tonight when you put your child in bed ask yourself why did God make me _______ mommy?
