We have been in a constant battle with Elizabeth's calcium. Yesterday we started out at .70 and now we are at .93 (normal being 1.20). We are trending in the right directions so its all about the small things!
I am the first one to say I have been known to be a logical and negative thinker. Notice the past tense in the sentence. My husband would probably disagree. He is like the stinking poster child for "the eternal optimist club" ,if one existed. He takes true joy in the small things. I am so thankful for that. Without it I would spend my day having moments of "oh pitiful me".
Elizabeth never seems to let things get to her. Her smile is contagious and will steal anyone's heart within 10 miles of her. She takes true joy in the small things. Today her "small thing" is seeing her feet! And of course because she's is a Holder "singing" loud enough that everyone at the nurses desk hears her is also a plus. And she has figured out how to blow spit bubbles (which if you ask me is the cutest thing in the entire world)! The picture below is mid-blow!
So today I leave you with this thought... Relish in the small things... The big things will be there when ya get done.
