Elizabeth had exceeded all expectations and certainly outlived what they expected!
Not only had I picked out an absolute perfect dress the weather quickly turned south making it a whopping 30 degrees! And to make it better the drive home was 5 hours! Bringing home a baby as new parents is a frightning thing but especially when your on I65 the whole way. Nothing crazy happened on the way home. It was very quiet an peaceful! She slept the entire way! I cried the first few hours on the way home which was expected. I don't remember when we walked through our doors the first time. I do remember when it came time to go to sleep. She went down easy and of course slept all night. I'm glad one of us did! I couldn't even try to guess the amount of times I woke up to assure her chest was rising and falling! The next morning was company time! All the grandparents and aunts couldn't wait! And I dont blame them!
Today we are thankful! We're thankful for a healthy 21.8lbs little girl! She's full of personality an stubbornness! She's determined and easily entertained. She eats like her daddy and cuddles like her mommy! God has blessed us more than most people see in a lifetime. He has answered prayers at one time I wasn't sure he would. He's held me in his arms in my lowest of lows and held my hand in my triumphs. God has provided for our family and never failed to make a way! We give God all the glory for our sweet girl and we thank anyone who ever sent a gift, diapers, or a home cooked meal your prayers and support are what got us here!
Love,
The Brockways
