Family Traditions

Things have been "hopping" in the Brockway house. Jays at the hunting camp doing his "man" thing while us girls where left home to do...well... To do our usual routine.

Elizabeth has a viral cold so I am enjoying suction, snot, tylonel, and sleepless nights. That's okay because if I wasn't here I'd be hauling butt to get here. After two phone calls to the peed and more phone calls to Jay than I'll admit I am pretty sure I can handle this thing they call a "cold."

Nana (pops aka Ricky is at the camp as well) had to work till 12 today and did some LATE Black Friday shopping. After a phone conversation I learned our Molly(our chocolate lab) decided it'd be a good idea to sneak in Nanas house at 3:00 am and stole some heat and scare nana to death. Nana was awaken by an odd sound. She said it took 15 minutes to realize it was a dog but WHAT dog was the question. Molly shortly realized (after nana put her heart back in her chest and chased her out) it wasn't a good idea to sneak in people's homes! Pretty smart dog though, I still don't know how she got in. But nana has recovered just fine (except by telling Molly's she's still mad at her.lol) and Molly is sleeping in the garage tonight so nana can rest well knowing Molly will not be dropping by unexpectedly! How rude,Molly!

Jay is having a successful hunting trip. He seen several deer and even missed one but I am convinced it's more about the quality time with his dad than the hunting. Although fried deer meat would be amazing! He did admit to almost backing out as he was walking out the door! But shhhhh don't tell him I told you he'll deny it!

At the end of the day I pray your families are celebrating the holidays together whether it be at the hunting camp or at work.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Brockways!
