Day 4 Fact 4

There are so many myths that come along with Elizabeths diagnosis. Depending on how supportive and optimistic your doctors are can depend on your experience. For me, my Primary OB was spectacular! She was supportive from day one and even when I didn't believe her she knew my heart would long for an additional child eventually.

Fact 4:

Yes, our children are different in some ways depending on health issues they may have encountered BUT they are more like normal children than people realize! Your child will laugh. Your child will cry. It will still have an attachment to an object of their choice. Your child will still look like their mom/dad. There isn't much difference in them. Yes, my child has therapies during the week but I know many typical children that do as well. So always know that children with DS are more like typical children than most people give them credit for!
