Humor.. Can't live with it can't live without it

Today was a pretty "boring" day in the life of the Brockway's. I say boring but my front door hasn't stopped opening and closing all day. Elizabeth slept till 8 o'clock and with the nasty weather we cuddled all Day. That's the way we like our home though.

Humor is a big part of our life. Hints where the "giggles" come into play in BowsandGiggles!

I had run to Hurley to get a few things for the house at our local grocery. Upon my visit I decided that vegetable soup would be the perfect  gourmet supper!

Of course it's a quick fix. A few potatoes, canned green beans (canned by none other than pops himself AKA Ricky), and corn. But don't let the name vegetable soup fool you. Everyone that knows my husband knows he's a meat AND potatoes kinda guy. So typically I throw in stew meat or hamburger meat. Well in my unfortunate decision making I chose stew meat.

My sister-in-law arrived just in time. Of course ,she had a humorous comment on how I did potatoes but after my witty comment she kept all opinions to herself.( Know that it was ALL in the name of humor.) I whipped up some home aid corn bread to accompany my gourmet meal. (Now that was sarcasm for anyone who couldn't tell!)

Remember how I said my door hasn't stopped all day? Well AJ and Randon had accompanied us for dinner. Elizabeth had just laid down for a nap. We all are sitting at the breakfast table in our usual chairs when Jay feels the sudden urge to Word Vomit ( it's a term I use for when you just say what you feel and don't think it through.). He humorously looks at me and says " You think the meats big enough. I like mine in smaller pieces." Randon then chimes in with, " I was gonna suggest it but not after your comment about the potatoes." I wish you could have seen their faces. We're all sitting around the table laughing. AJ finally speaks up and says "Y'all stop, you're gonna make her cry."  Randon answers with a huge smile on her face, "Nah she's use to it!" It got me to thinking, how many of us take life so serious we never take the time to appreciate the humorous things in life.

I guess I look at things completely different than most. When people ask me "How do you do it?" I smile and giggle "It's all I know!" I could give you a huge sob story but why. My life is wonderful and full of lots of giggles from my sweet little girl and my husband's wonderful witty sense of humor!
