The call

Any of you parents ever gotten the call? You know the call that is not of a ringing phone or a beautiful idea. Not it's the call of your toddler wrapped around your leg next to the stove chanting "I want a nap!" In her loud I'm gonna wake daddy up from his night shift induced coma if you don't stop making his birthday cupcakes and give me a nap screams of "MAMMMA!!"

Don't get me wrong I've given her every toy known to man, even subjecting my new IPhone to her violence, and it just wasn't cutting it. Right now I feel like screaming "Hold on!" Or "Mommy left she's not coming back!" Or the best "If daddy wakes up your in trouble!" Thankfully my mother in law has graciously taught me you do not speak everything you feel. So I turn off my ears, grease the cupcake pan, pour , and shove in the oven! In one swift move picking Elizabeth up off the floor and running to the rocker.

I am a little proud of myself here. I kept it together and used words of love, kindness, compassion, and understanding. Will it always happen this way... No. I'm human we crash and burn several times a day. As Lisa Puts it we all come "unglued". I recently started her devotion of Unglued and I'm in love already. You see we're human. We have human faults. Will we always rise to the occasion? No probably not. Does it mean we give up? For lack of a better word heck no! Just like I'm not giving up.. Elizabeth will take this nap she's fought so hard for that she's now fighting not to!

Got to go a very sleepy toddler makes for a very uneventful blog!
