Sleep has been a thing of the past I guess you should say. Elizabeth has had trouble being laid down to sleep abd staying down. I LOVE rocking her to sleep but I'm afraid she's getting too old and much more aware of her surroundings. In my weakens state of her tears I decided it was acceptable for her to sleep in our bed till she was well... Well that wasn't my brightest moment but in my defense how could you not snuggle with this??
We've also been struggling with her pump at night. We have recently decided to mix her formula via blender. So far... Smartest decision yet! Last night was the first night of real sleep in weeks! I hope it continues! My mom also came up with a brilliant idea and way to "rig" and ice pack to the back to keep the formula cold! (Her formula is best served chilled according to the directions on the can.)
Her eating is pretty incredible! She's eating things from table food to soups! Her therapist is so impressed! She is gaining rapidly! We are thrilled! Weight checks have been moved to only once a month! I am learning the art of carb counting and how to be creative when feeding her! I always say "oh I can't cook that. That's too complicated!" Now I'm saying "What is it? Give me that recipie I'll figure it out. Anything she'll eat I'll cook!" It is also giving me motivation to eat healthier and care for my eating habits! I can't expect her to be open to healthy foods if I'm not! You can't market what you can't model!
Her new trick is at stand up with minimal support!!! We were beyond thrilled! Just like everything else she just woke up and thought it was a good idea!!!
(LOVE that sweet round belly!!)
