Jay found out that his dad was tractor shopping so he willingly offered to go shopping for the day. Anyone who knows my husband knows that he would pick being at home and working in the yard over a nice dinner out any day!
We had a blast shopping! We looked at every Kubota tractor the lot offered. Pops already knew what he was looking for. Pops had one picked out when the salesman started his spill. The salesman threw a wrench in the plan. You see pops is an old school man. He's a man of few words but out of those few words is a phrase I have heard many times, "You never wanna buy someone else's problem." That was always what he reference when speaking of buying old VS new.
The salesman showed pops a brand new 2009 that had been sitting on the lot. Same warranty as the brand new one that he had picked out. It sparked one simple thought:
"They're are some people that will ONLY accept new and shiny and refuse the beautifully new."
In some people's eyes Elizabeth may not be that new and shiny tractor in the front of the lot. Though to me she far surpasses any new and shiny tractor. But sometimes in life we seem to to forget that there are beautifully new things!
I want to be someone who can relish in the beautifully new and appreciate it to its fullest. Sometimes the new and shiny isn't all it's cracked up to be!
My MORE than beautifully new!!!!
