Mouth of fools

Keeping my mouth shut has always been a problem. My in-laws would say I speak my mind. My husband would tell you that I don't speak up enough.

The hardest part for me is to know when? I know to pick my battles. I totally get that part. The situation gets a little tricky when you in a ministering situation. I want to say EXACTLY what's on my mind but I know it will not do any good. They're a grown adult. I know that constantly speaking my opinion will not change it. If anything it will push that person in the other direction. I know of several of those situations. It could shut the door on the opportunity for the person to share with me. But let's be honest I am human and I have thoughts like..that's the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. Or.... You idiot after everything I've been through your stupid enough to say that to me. Or my personal favorite.... Shut up complaining!!

Obviously that is not the way you handle the situation.   But let's be real here whose mouth hasn't vomited out words that are not Godly? Even the best of us.

So you ask my point:
Pick your moments. Don't overload people with your opinions and what you think. Eventually people will get tired of what you have to say and ignore it. So for now even when the devil is tempting me or its on the tip of my tongue.. I'll nod and smile! Seems that the devil has found lots of opportunities to tempt me. Don't get me wrong I fail alot! But the best part is there's always another opportunity!

Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end. (Proverbs 29:11)

A fool’s mouth lashes out with pride, but the lips of the wise protect them. (Proverbs 14:3)
