Lamentations 2:19

I have struggled with a reason to blog today. A friend of mine, who has been a constant source of encouragement, brought me a book called "The power of a Praying Parent" . As I picked up the book today and read through the intro I saw this scripture at the end of the intro: 

Pour out your heart like water before The Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children. Lamentations 2:19

I pray for my daughter daily but do I pour out my heart ? The answer is probably not. Something tells me I am not the only mother on the planet that goes through her nightly prayer without stopping  and realizing what power these prayers have. 

This book has already taught me a lesson, to pour my heart out to God. I know he will answer these prayers because his word tells us to pour our hearts out to him! 

So tonight when I go to bed I will not only  pray but I will pour my heart out to our Heavenly Father! Not just for Elizabeth today but for Elizabeth in twenty years!
